High School Seniors Scholarship

Each year Region 137 awards scholarships to graduating seniors of the same calendar year from the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley high schools. Recipients for these scholarships will be considered based upon available funding. The criteria for being considered for this scholarship are:

2.5 GPA(Provide an Official Transcript)
5 years participation in AYSO (See below for specific eligibility rules)
Plans to pursue higher education at an accredited university, college, or trade school.

Individual eligibility is determined based on two different ways, player and volunteers. For the player path, players will have to demonstrate five years of playing time based on Fall season registrations with at least one year played during high school. A second pathway is supporting AYSO 137 as a registered volunteer for five years with a minimum of one year during high school. A minimum of 10 hours is required in that calendar year for that year to count. Volunteer positions include certified referee, tent assistant, team assistant, and other volunteer positions. Individuals may also combine their time as a player and volunteer adding up to five years with a minimum of one year during high school. When combining player and volunteer time, individuals may not combine volunteer time and player time in the same calendar year.

Individuals who meet these criteria are requested to pick up a scholarship packet from the Regional Commissioner, high school counselor, or on-line at www.ayso137.net. All completed applications should be e-mailed to the Regional Commissioner at [email protected] by March 15th by noon.
