Regional Commissioner Position Open for Nominations

In compliance with AYSO National Rules and Regulations, the Regional Board of Directors of AYSO Region 137 announces the opening of the application period for the position of Regional Commissioner. The Regional Commissioner position requires a time commitment averaging 25-30 hours per week. During the primary and secondary program months, hours can increase depending on program requirements, meetings, and special events.

The application period will end on March 31, 2026. 

Qualifications to be eligible to nominate yourself or be nominated for this position are that you are preferably a current or past Regional Board member and a registered volunteer in good standing with the organization.

The process is to have open nominations and candidates presented to the Nomination Committee (NC). The NC will then vet each candidate for eligibility and as a volunteer in AYSO in good standing. After the open nomination period, the NC will send the candidate's applications to the Regional Board to review. The Area Director will then conduct an election to vote on who will be the Regional Commissioner. Once that is complete, the Area Director will forward it to the Section Director and then to the AYSO National Board of Directors for approval.

The nomination period is open now and will close on March 31, 2026. It is anticipated that the vote will occur on April 27, 2026, and the Board Members in place at the time of the open nominations will be eligible to vote. The current RC term ends on April 30, 2026.
